Senior Platform Engineer (gn) Data & Analytics

Salary: EUR 85,000 per year plus 10% bonus

Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Platform Engineer (gn) with expertise in Databricks and Azure to join our team. This role is integral in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data platform infrastructure to enable data-driven decision-making and analytics across the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
·Architect, design, and implement data platform infrastructure on Azure with a strong focus on Databricks.
·Implement best practices for Databricks performance and security.
·Stay current with Azure security best practices and compliance requirements.
·Act as the technical contact point for any technical and architectural design and implementation on the data lakehouse platform.
·Manage and maintain Databricks clusters, SQL endpoints, workspaces, and jobs.
·Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Terraform, PowerShell, or Azure CLI to streamline deployment and management tasks.
·Configure, manage, and optimize Azure services such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and other Azure services.
·Implement security measures, data encryption, and access controls to ensure data confidentiality and integrity.
·Monitor platform health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks and issues.
·Design and implement solutions for high availability and scalability to meet evolving business needs.
·Monitor and control cloud infrastructure costs, identifying opportunities for optimization.
·Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime.
·Document infrastructure configurations, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
Requirements:
·5+ years of proven experience as a Platform Engineer in Azure and/or Databricks, with a focus on designing and building data pipelines.
·Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, Scala, and/or Spark.
·Experience with monitoring and performance optimization of cloud-based solutions.
·Proficiency in CI/CD, IaS, Terraform.
·Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, and Hive.
·Knowledge of data security best practices, compliance standards, and encryption techniques.
·Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform.
·Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
·Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in an agile team environment.
·Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently, assume ownership, and be results-oriented.
