Salary: $200,000 - $325,000 plus equity

About the Role
As a Research Scientist, you will be at the forefront of pushing the boundaries of AI interpretability. Your work will focus on developing innovative techniques to understand and improve the inner workings of complex AI models, particularly transformers.
You will be instrumental in developing and scaling methods to transform these complex models into more understandable representations, such as programs.
Responsibilities:
Design and conduct experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of model mapping techniques
Analyze and understand the intricacies of AI models to facilitate their transformation into programs
Manage and explore extensive datasets generated from interpretability experiments
Develop novel approaches to uncover the underlying mechanisms of large language models
Collaborate with a team of talented researchers and engineers to drive groundbreaking results
Ideal Candidate:
Minimum 5+ years experience in a similar role
Strong foundation in machine learning and a proven track record in implementing ML algorithms (e.g., PyTorch)
Experience with distributed training frameworks (e.g., PyTorch Lightning, DeepSpeed)
Proficiency in programming and a keen interest in programming languages
A curious and analytical mindset with a strong desire to solve complex problems
