Salary: £50,000–£60,000 + 5% Bonus + 25 days holiday and excellent benefits package!
Senior Electrical Engineer – Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite in Bournemouth
An established engineering business based in Bournemouth is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their high-performing hardware team. This is a hands-on role focused on designing and developing advanced digital and analogue circuitry, supporting production and field service, and helping drive new product features from concept through to release.
Senior Electrical Engineer – Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and debugging of digital and analogue circuits.
Work independently on projects from concept to completion with minimal supervision.
Evaluate and modify electronic parts, components, and systems.
Select components and equipment based on technical analysis and reliability.
Conduct testing, simulations, and troubleshooting of hardware systems.
Produce detailed documentation including schematics, specifications, and layouts.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to support prototype builds and new features.
Review and assess vendor capabilities to support ongoing product development.
Senior Electrical Engineer – What You’ll Bring:
5–10 years of experience in both electrical design and manufacturing environments.
Proven experience with mixed-signal circuit design and PCB layout tools (Cadence preferred).
Solid understanding of industry standards for safety, EMI/EMC, and regulated product development.
Familiarity with motion control systems is a plus.
Proficiency using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and power supplies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead or mentor others.
Senior Electrical Engineer – Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
Demonstrated success in delivering complex electrical systems.
